Lexus LC Parking Heater Fault

Thanks for the quick reply. Temperature doesn't seem to be a factor, happens regardless. No coolant smells, and engine temp is stable. If it's not the glow plug, what else could cause the parking heater to fail with that error code? Is there a specific temperature sensor I should check?

Okay, stable engine temp rules out some of the simpler issues. Given the consistency and the error code, a defective glow plug is the most probable cause, though without proper diagnostic gear it's difficult to be 100% certain. You could check the wiring to the glow plug, but honestly, you're probably best off having it checked at a workshop. They can pinpoint the fault and replace it correctly.

Appreciate the confirmation. I'll book it in for a diagnostic check. It was indeed the glow plug. Repair cost was 440€. Thanks again for the assist!

Yeah I've seen that before. Does it happen regardless of the outside temperature, or only when it's particularly cold? Any unusual coolant smells, or has the engine temperature been fluctuating more than usual? Could also be related to the heater core, but glow plug sounds plausible.
