Lexus LC Sound System Failure

Thanks for the quick reply! I did check the fuses, and they all seem fine. I don't have the exact error code. So, if it is the display module, is that something that can be repaired, or are we talking about a full head unit replacement?

Unfortunately, display issues on the LC often mean head unit replacement. There might be a specialist who repairs them, but Lexus generally replaces the whole unit. Without the exact error code, it's tricky, but the symptoms do point in that direction. Given the stored error, I would say getting it diagnosed at a workshop would be a good idea.

Thanks so much for the advice. I took it to my local shop, and you were spot on – the display was indeed defective. A bit painful at 725€, but at least it's sorted. I appreciate the help!

Sounds like a defective head unit, possibly the display itself. Have you checked all the fuses related to the audio system? If the fuses are good, and given the error message, a failing display module is pretty high on the list. When you mention an error in the system memory, do you have the exact error code to hand? It could help pin down whether it's just the sound or the whole head unit.
