Lexus LFA Error Codes Everywhere

I'm kinda freaking out. I have a 2010 Lexus LFA, gasoline engine, and just hit 173081 km. Suddenly, I'm getting error messages all over the place! An error is stored in the memory, plus I see the error message in the infotainment system AND on the speedometer. I don’t even know where to start. Could a faulty OBD-II scanner cause this maybe? Engine light is on, of course. This car is my baby!

A fault code appearing across multiple systems is certainly concerning. Have you recently had any work done on the vehicle, especially anything involving the car's computer or electronics? Incorrect coding can indeed cause these issues. It would be useful to know the exact fault codes, if possible.

No recent work, that's what's so strange! Is there a way to check the coding myself, or is that something only a professional can do? I'm not super tech-savvy, but I'm willing to learn if it saves me a ton of money. Which tools do I need, and will resetting the codes solve the issue?

Checking the coding requires specialized software and interfaces that are not typically available to the general public. Furthermore, resetting codes without addressing the underlying cause will likely only result in the errors reappearing. Given the symptoms and the potential for incorrect coding, it is advisable to seek assistance from a qualified workshop. The diagnostic effort and repair cost should be in the range of 360€.

Thanks! I took it to a Lexus shop, and you were spot on. Turns out the car's coding was messed up somehow. They recoded it, cleared the errors, and now it's running perfectly! Cost me 360€ like you predicted, so thanks for the heads up. Really appreciate the help!
