Lexus LFA Fuel Flap Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Lexus LFA owner is experiencing a non-functional fuel flap release, accompanied by an error message and other system issues. The problem is suspected to be a defective linkage or faulty cable, as the release button doesn't activate the actuator. The recommended solution is to have the vehicle diagnosed and repaired by a professional workshop, which successfully resolved the issue.

Thanks for the quick reply! Yeah, it's totally dead, doesn't work at all. I did check the release button. Doesn't seem to do anything. I don't hear any clicking either, so I'm guessing the actuator is shot?

Yep, sounds exactly like what happened to mine. Ended up being a defective linkage. I wouldn’t mess with it, it’s more complicated than you think. I would just take it to a reputable workshop. They'll diagnose it properly and get you sorted. Probably a faulty cable or something similar.

Okay, that's what I was afraid of. I'll book it in with a garage then and see what they say. It turns out it was the linkage, like you suspected. Cost me 210€ all in. Thanks for your help!

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my LFA a while back. Is it completely dead, or does it sometimes work? Did you check the release button itself? Can you hear the fuel filler flap actuator clicking when you press the release?
