Thanks for the reply! Fuel economy seems normal, nothing out of the ordinary. So what exactly was the issue with your BMW?

Ah, I see. Well, in my case, the problem stemmed from a defective fuel pressure sensor, precisely as you suspected. Considering the similarities in our symptoms and the error code you retrieved, I would venture to say that a faulty sensor is indeed the most plausible explanation. I would advise you to take your car to a reputable mechanic for a thorough diagnosis and sensor replacement. I fear my amateur advice can take you no further.

Thanks for the insight! I took it to the shop, and you were right. Replaced the fuel rail pressure sensor, and that fixed it. Cost me 240€. Runs like new again.

Greetings! I experienced a similar predicament with my old 2012 BMW 328i, albeit with a different engine configuration. The symptoms you described—the check engine light illumination, the occasional engine stall, and the perceived reduction in engine power—align remarkably with my past tribulations. May I inquire as to whether you have observed any fluctuations in fuel economy accompanying these symptoms?
