Lexus LS Battery Sensor Issue

I'm having an issue with my 2015 Lexus LS with a gasoline engine. The battery is heavily discharged at 108160 km. I'm getting an error message in the speedometer, weak and flickering lights, and a weak battery when starting. Error codes are stored. Could this be the battery sensor?

Summary of the thread

A 2015 Lexus LS with a gasoline engine experienced a heavily discharged battery, error messages, weak and flickering lights, and a weak start. These issues were suspected to be caused by a defective battery sensor, which is known to cause parasitic drain and related electrical problems in this model. The problem was confirmed by a workshop, and replacing the faulty sensor resolved the issues.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Sounds like a classic case of battery failure! Is it the original battery? How old is it? And did you check the battery terminals?

The battery was replaced three years ago. Terminals look fine. But could a defective battery sensor really cause all these issues?

Yep, that sensor is a known culprit for weird electrical gremlins in those LS models. Can cause a parasitic drain and the other symptoms you're seeing. I'd recommend a workshop to verify.

Thanks for the confirmation. The workshop diagnosed a defective battery sensor. Repair cost was 315€. Problem solved.
