Lexus LS Blower Motor Issue
Summary of the thread
The fresh air blower in a 2008 Lexus LS hybrid was not working, and an error code was present, leading to the suspicion of a blower motor issue. A suggestion was made to check the blower motor resistor, as it could control fan speed and potentially cause the error. Ultimately, a workshop diagnosed and confirmed the blower motor was defective, leading to its replacement.

Thanks for the suggestion. Where's the blower motor resistor usually located? And could a bad resistor cause the error code, or does that point more to the motor itself?

On my BMW, it was near the blower motor, under the dash on the passenger side. Access was a pain. As for the error code, it could be either the resistor or the motor triggering it. Without proper diagnostics, it's hard to say. Honestly, you might want to visit a workshop. They can pinpoint the problem quickly.

Understood, thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop as you suggested. The blower motor was indeed defective and has now been replaced. The total repair cost was 365€. I appreciate your help.

I had a similar issue with my old BMW 3 Series. The climate control stopped blowing air, and it turned out to be a bad blower motor resistor. It's not exactly the same as your Lexus, but it might be worth checking if your car has a similar part. It controls the fan speed.
