Lexus LS brake fluid low spongy pedal
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Lexus LS hybrid is experiencing consistently low brake fluid levels and a spongy brake pedal feel. Despite checking for visible leaks, none were found, leading to concerns about worn brake pads or potential issues within the hydraulic brake system. A suggestion was made to have a brake inspection, which revealed worn pads as the cause. The issue was resolved by replacing the pads and rotors.

Thanks for the quick reply! No, I haven't had a brake inspection recently. Did you also notice the low brake fluid level in addition to the strange pedal feel? And was it a costly repair?

Yes, I had both symptoms. Given your mileage and the fact that you haven't had an inspection recently, I'd strongly suggest taking it to a workshop. It's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to brakes.

Okay, I appreciate the advice. I'll book it in for a brake inspection ASAP. Hopefully, it's just worn pads. It was worn pads! Total cost 480€ including new pads and rotors. Thanks again!

I drive an LS too. I had a similar problem a while back. It turned out to be worn brakes. Have you had a brake inspection recently?
