Lexus LS Climate Control AUC Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Lexus LS with a gasoline engine has an inoperative blower motor, with diagnostics indicating a fault with the AUC sensor, possibly due to a bad cable or plug. A similar issue in a BMW was resolved by checking the connector and wiring harness for damage or corrosion. The suggested solution involves inspecting the connector and wiring for continuity, which led to identifying a faulty connector at the AUC sensor, costing 95€ to fix.

I've visually inspected the connector and wiring, but didn't do a continuity test. Could you tell me about the diagnostic steps you took with your BMW?

Sure. On the BMW, the fault codes pointed to the AUC sensor. I used a multimeter to check for voltage at the sensor connector and found none. I traced the wiring back and found a break in the harness. Given your symptoms and the diagnostic code, it's likely a similar wiring or connector issue. I ended up taking it to a workshop.

Thanks for the help. I took it to a technician, and it was a faulty connector at the AUC sensor, like you thought. It cost 95€.

Interesting. I had a similar problem with my 2018 BMW 5 Series. The air quality sensor went haywire, and the entire climate control system shut down. Have you checked the connector and wiring harness leading to the AUC sensor for any damage or corrosion?
