Lexus LS climate control issue

I'm having a weird climate control issue with my 2010 Lexus LS hybrid. The error memory has a fault related to the defrost air distribution flap. Also, the heat isn't pumping out like it should. Could a dodgy plug really be the culprit?

That sounds frustrating. I had a similar problem with my old Volvo V70, though not a hybrid. My mechanic said a faulty connection can cause all sorts of mayhem with the climate control. Is the blower motor working at all? Like, do you feel any air movement, even if it's not hot?

Yeah, the blower is definitely working, just not getting the heat evenly. How did you know a defective cable or plug connection was the problem with your Volvo?

With my Volvo, the mechanic had to dig deep, but eventually he found a corroded connector that was messing with the signal to the flap motor. Honestly, if your error memory is pointing to a specific flap and you're not getting proper air distribution, it's probably best to get it checked out by a workshop. For 95€, it seems worth it to get it fixed.

Okay, thanks a lot for the insight! I'll take it to the shop to check all the connections. The price sounds reasonable, so I'll probably get it fixed immediately.
