Lexus LS EVAP System Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Lexus LS owner experienced a check engine light and stalling when idling, with diagnostic codes indicating an EVAP system failure. Initial attempts to resolve the issue by checking the gas cap and cleaning the purge valve were unsuccessful. The problem was suspected to be a defective activated charcoal filter, which was confirmed and resolved by replacing the filter, restoring normal idling and fuel efficiency.

Fuel efficiency is definitely worse. How did you fix yours, and how much did it cost? Was it also the charcoal canister?

I never got to the bottom of it myself. After research, I took it to a workshop. They sorted it quickly, and it wasn't too expensive.

Thanks! I took it to my local mechanic, and it was the activated charcoal filter. Replaced it, and the light's gone, idles perfectly, and fuel economy is back. Cost me 275€.

I had a similar issue with my LS. Check engine light, rough idling... Sound familiar? Has your fuel efficiency also gone down?
