Lexus LS hybrid engine stalling after fuel filter change

Hi, I'm having trouble with my 2014 Lexus LS hybrid. The check engine light keeps coming on, and sometimes the engine stalls when I'm idling. I've also noticed a reduction in engine power. It started happening shortly after I changed the fuel filter. Could it be a fuel pressure regulator issue? The car has 69015 km on it.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my old Opel Astra after changing the fuel filter. Engine misfire, check engine light, the whole shebang. Did you happen to check for any error codes?

Yep, fuel rail pressure error was the culprit. Turns out, changing the fuel filter sometimes messes with the regulator. I'd suggest getting it checked at a workshop, probably just a faulty fuel regulator.

Thanks for the tip! I took it to the shop, and you were spot on. The fuel pressure regulator was defective. They replaced it for 45€, and now it runs perfectly. Seems like the error entry was indeed the cause after the filter change.
