Prior to the overheating, I did not observe any anomalous sounds from the fan motor assembly. Could you elaborate on the specific nature of the failure you experienced?

Well, honestly, I'm not super techy, so I can't give you the exact details. Basically, the guys at the workshop told me the fan wasn't spinning properly, which wasn't cooling the engine enough. They checked all the usual stuff first, like fuses and the coolant level, but in the end, they said something was wrong with the fan motor itself. I'd suggest taking it to a pro to have them take a look.

Following your suggestion, I had the vehicle inspected. The defective electrical connector to the fan motor assembly was identified and has been rectified. The repair amounted to 95€.

Hey! Overheating... that's never good. I have an LS too (not sure what year it is), and I had something similar happen last summer. The engine was getting way too hot, and I was freaking out. Turned out it was something to do with the fan motor. Was yours making any weird noises before the overheating started, like a loud buzzing or clicking?
