Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't checked the oil filter, but that's a good point. As for the oil viscosity, I'm using what the manual recommends, 5W-30. You mentioned it was the oil pump in your case, were the symptoms identical? What did the repair involve?

Affirmative, the symptoms were indeed identical. Considering you're using the recommended oil viscosity and the oil level is correct, a defective oil pump is the most likely culprit. It is imperative to refrain from operating the vehicle until the issue is resolved to forestall potential catastrophic engine damage. I strongly advise a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation by a qualified technician. In my situation, a replacement of the oil pump was necessary, resulting in an expenditure of 755€ I hope this information proves beneficial.

Thanks a lot for the detailed information! I'll get it checked out by a professional right away. Knowing that the oil pump was the issue for you and roughly what it cost gives me a good starting point. I appreciate the help!

Greetings. I encountered a similar situation with my Lexus LS. In my case, low oil pressure, accompanied by unusual engine sounds, pointed towards a potential oil pump issue. Have you considered the oil filter as a possible culprit? A clogged filter can restrict oil flow and trigger the warning light. Also, what oil viscosity are you currently using?
