Lexus LS Outside Temperature Sensor Fault

Hey, I'm having a weird issue with my 2015 Lexus LS hybrid. It seems the outside temperature sensor is faulty. I'm getting an error in the system memory, the AC won't kick on, the spray nozzles are frozen even when it's not that cold, and the mirror heating isn't working. Pretty sure it's the sensor, especially since I looked up the error code. Anyone else run into this? I'm guessing it's a bad connection somewhere.

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I have a Lexus LS too, and a few years back I had almost the EXACT same symptoms. AC was acting up, and the mirror heating was definitely not doing its job. I didn't check the spray nozzles though... Did you check the sensor itself for any obvious damage?

Thanks for the reply! I haven't physically checked the sensor yet, to be honest. It's kind of tucked away, and I was hoping to avoid tearing into things without a clearer idea of what I'm looking for. Where is the sensor located on your LS? Did your error code point to the temperature sensor as well?

Yeah, the error code was pretty clear, it said something about an open circuit on the temperature sensor. I never found the sensor, to be honest. But yeah, it's sounding like our cars share the same problem. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. They should be able to diagnose it properly and replace the sensor if needed.

Alright, thanks for confirming! Sounds like I'm not crazy. I'll take your advice and get it checked out professionally. They quoted me about 95€. I hope that's it. I really appreciate the help!
