Thanks for the quick response! I'm at around 51519 km. Is the exhaust sensor the same as the oxygen sensor, or are they different? Did you replace it yourself, or did you have a mechanic do it?

Yeah, exhaust sensor and oxygen sensor are often used interchangeably, so we're talking about the same part. Given the symptoms and potential connection issue you mentioned, it might be more than just the sensor itself. I'd suggest getting it checked at a workshop. In the end my repair cost was around 95€. They can properly diagnose the wiring and everything else.

Hey, I had a similar issue with my LS. Check engine light, O2 sensor error... Sounds familiar. Have you looked at the exhaust sensor? In my case, it was that the air-fuel ratio was off. What mileage are you at?
