Lexus LS Parking Heater Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Lexus LS hybrid is experiencing an issue where the parking heater won't activate, and an error is recorded in the system memory. The problem might be related to the heater core or a temperature sensor. A suggestion was made to check the auxiliary heater's glow plugs, as they are a common issue, especially with high mileage. Diagnostics confirmed the glow plugs were faulty, leading to a repair.

The glow plugs on the aux heater, huh? Okay, that's helpful. Was it a pain to diagnose, and were there any other symptoms besides not starting?

Yeah, those glow plugs. No other symptoms really, just wouldn't kick on and threw an error code. Honestly, I just took it to a shop. Saved myself the headache. They confirmed it quickly.

Roger that. Appreciate the insight. Looks like I'll be booking an appointment. Turns out, the diagnostics confirmed the glow plugs were shot, repair bill came to 440€. Thanks again!

I had a similar problem with my LS. Check the auxiliary heater, could be the glow plugs. Common issue, especially with that mileage.
