Lexus LX Anti Theft Alarm Fault

I'm cheesed off with my 2016 Lexus LX diesel. The anti-theft alarm is having a proper hissy fit! Error memory shows a fault, and the system is refusing to function. I reckon it's something to do with the alarm being coded to activate the indicator lights when it locks. Has anyone else had this kind of drama?

That sounds like an absolute nightmare! I had a similar thing happen with my old Volvo, completely different car I know, but the symptoms sound eerily familiar. The alarm would just randomly go off in the middle of the night, scared the living daylights out of the neighbors, and me if I'm honest. Did you have a power failure recently? 'Cause that screwed with mine for sure.

Power failure, eh? Hmmm, we did have a bit of a brownout last week, now that you mention it. Could that really mess with the anti-theft system on the Lexus? What exactly did you do to fix it on your Volvo?

Yeah, the power thing triggered it on the Volvo! Look, I tried messing about with it myself, but honestly, it was a rabbit hole. Eventually, I caved and took it to a workshop. Best 45€ I ever spent. They plugged it in, reset something, and bam, good as new. I'd say save yourself the headache and get it looked at professionally. Seriously, you'll thank me later.

Okay, cheers for the advice. Looks like a trip to the shop it is then. I'll post what they find. Recoding cost 45€. That solved the problem!
