Lexus LX Battery Sensor Issue

Thanks for your quick response. It does seem more frequent in colder weather. As far as I know, the battery hasn't been replaced, so it is likely the original one. Given that, does the sensor failure diagnosis still seem plausible, or could there be something else I should consider?

Okay, original battery plus cold weather definitely points towards the sensor being a major suspect, but honestly, an aging battery itself could be contributing too. Is it something you can test yourself? Honestly, it sounds like a job for the workshop. You don't want to get stranded!

Understood. I appreciate the advice. I took it to a workshop, and you were spot on! The battery sensor was indeed defective. The repair, including parts and labor, came to 315€. Thanks again for your help!

Whoa, sounds like a real electrical gremlin! A defective battery sensor definitely could be the culprit, those things can cause all sorts of weirdness. Have you noticed if it happens more often when it's cold out? And is the battery the original one, or has it been replaced recently?
