Lexus LX Cylinder Pressure

I used an OBD-II scanner and the error codes are generic, pointing towards a cylinder pressure imbalance. I've not noticed unusual sounds, but I will pay closer attention. Did your error codes point towards a general imbalance, or were they more specific? Could a sensor issue alone cause all the symptoms, considering the car's mileage?

In my case, the initial codes were also fairly generic, indicating a potential issue with the fuel system. Because of that, I started looking at injectors and the fuel pump. Given the generic nature of your codes and the mileage, it might be wise to have a professional conduct a thorough diagnostic examination. It sounds like it may be beyond simple fixes if multiple cylinders are showing this imbalance. It's best to catch it early rather than risk further damage.

I appreciate your help! I followed your advice and took it to the workshop. As it turned out, the pressure fluctuation was due to a faulty sensor in the intake manifold. The mechanic replaced it and reset the computer. The light is now off, the car runs perfectly, and the final repair cost was 0€ as it was still under warranty!

I own a Lexus LX as well and experienced something similar. Cylinder pressure fluctuation is tricky. Did you notice any unusual sounds, like hissing or whistling, that might point to a vacuum leak? Have you scanned the engine for error codes using an OBD-II scanner? Knowing the code will help narrow down the causes. It could be a sensor issue causing the fluctuation reading. Checking the air filter is a good starting point. Get those error codes read!
