Lexus LX Power Window Failure

I'm having an issue with my 2015 Lexus LX with a gasoline engine. After replacing the vehicle battery, the power windows can no longer be operated. I'm getting an error indicating a window regulator initialization failure. Has anyone encountered this on an LX after a battery replacement? I suspect a reset procedure is needed.

Summary of the thread

After replacing the battery in a 2015 Lexus LX, the power windows stopped functioning, displaying an error related to window regulator initialization failure. This issue may arise from the window motor losing its limits or a need for a reset procedure. Standard reset attempts were unsuccessful, suggesting a more complex problem possibly involving the body control module or a need for professional diagnostics. Ultimately, the solution required re-initializing the window regulators using a diagnostic tool at a workshop.

Interesting. I've seen similar issues on other vehicles after battery replacements. Usually, the window motor loses its upper and lower limits. Did you try the standard window reset procedure? Hold the window switch down until the window is fully down, release, then hold it down again for a few seconds. Repeat the process for upward movement.

Yes, I've tried that procedure multiple times without success. I also checked the fuses, and they appear to be fine. Is there a specific sequence or tool required for the Lexus LX, or could it be something more complex, like a faulty regulator?

If the standard reset isn't working and the fuses are good, it's possible the regulator itself is damaged, or perhaps the body control module isn't communicating correctly after the power loss. I’d suggest further diagnostics at a workshop. They can read the error memory and perform specific initializations with the diagnostic tool.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and it turned out the window regulators needed to be re-initialized with their diagnostic tool. The repair cost me 290€.
