Lexus LX Reduced Engine Power

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2004 Lexus LX with a gasoline engine. The engine power is noticeably reduced, and the check engine light is on. The car has 131627 km. Could a defective throttle valve be the problem, perhaps due to a faulty accelerator pedal module?

I had a similar problem with my LX. Reduced power and the check engine light. Check your air intake and throttle sensor. It might be related to air flow and engine idling.

Did you also suspect the accelerator pedal module or any specific electronics related to the throttle valve?

I did consider the accelerator pedal, but it turned out to be the throttle valve itself. I'd recommend a workshop visit; the electronics inside can be tricky to diagnose. It's likely the cause of your 'limp mode'.

I appreciate the advice! Following your suggestion, I took it to a workshop. The throttle valve was indeed defective, costing 265€ to repair. Thanks again for the help.
