Lexus NX AC failure
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Lexus NX hybrid is experiencing AC failure, accompanied by an error message and warning light. The suspected cause is a defective temperature sensor in the heat exchanger, potentially linked to the AC control unit. A similar issue was resolved by replacing the faulty sensor, and it is advised to have the vehicle diagnosed by a professional to prevent further damage, such as to the compressor.

No visible leaks, and I haven't tried a sensor calibration. I don't have the equipment for that. Was your problem definitely the temperature sensor, or something else related to the AC?

Yeah, mine ended up being a faulty temperature sensor linked to the AC control unit. The error codes pointed directly to it. Given your symptoms, it's worth getting it properly diagnosed by a workshop with the right tools. It's likely the AC control unit defective. Don't delay it or the compressor can get damaged.

Thanks for the insight! Took it to my local shop, and you called it. Defective temperature sensor in the heat exchanger. Quoted 980€ for the repair. Ouch, but at least I know what's up. Cheers!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my NX. The AC cutting out is a real pain. Did you check for any coolant leaks around the heat exchanger? Also, have you tried any kind of sensor calibration or reset through the car's system or an OBD reader?
