Lexus NX Climate Control Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Lexus NX experienced a failure in the climate control system, with the panel being non-functional, weak heating, and the AC not turning on. The issue was suspected to be due to a bad cable or plug. Suggestions included checking the blower motor resistor, wiring harness, and ensuring power to the HVAC system, including verifying fuses. The problem was ultimately traced to a corroded connector in the wiring harness, which was cleaned and partially replaced, resolving the issue.

Thanks for the advice! Where's the blower motor resistor located? And which fuse handles the HVAC? Just trying to be thorough.

On my NX, the blower motor resistor was accessible from the passenger footwell, behind the glove compartment. Given the error code and symptoms, I'd suggest a workshop. The problem is likely a defective cable or plug. Replacing the parts cost me 95€. Better safe than sorry!

Took your advice and went to the shop. You were right – it was a corroded connector in the wiring harness. They cleaned it, replaced a section, and now it's blowing cold air again! Thanks!

I had a similar issue on my NX. Start by checking the blower motor resistor and the wiring harness to the climate control panel. A bad connection or resistor can cause that. Also, check the power to the HVAC system. Make sure the fuses are good.
