Summary of the thread
A 2015 Lexus NX owner experienced a check engine light and reduced power, suspecting chip tuning as the cause. Yes, I had some chip tuning done a while back by a third-party company. Do you think that's what's causing this? If so, what did you do to fix it?

Yeah, I'm betting the chip tuning is the culprit. Often, aftermarket tunes can mess with the engine's computer. I'd suggest taking it to a reputable workshop and having them check the tuning parameters. They might need to re-flash the ECU to the factory settings.

Thanks, that confirms my suspicions! I took it to a workshop, and it turned out that the chip tuning was indeed faulty. They re-flashed the ECU to the factory settings, and the check engine light is gone! Cost me 180€, but it was worth it.

I had a similar problem with my NX, though I didn't use a scan tool. Check engine light and reduced power. Have you had any modifications done recently, like performance upgrades or tuning?
