Lexus NX Hissing Noise and Power Loss

I'm having trouble with my 2016 Lexus NX gasoline model. The check engine light is on, and the engine power is reduced. I also hear a whistling noise and loud hissing when accelerating. The error memory shows a charge air temperature sensor issue. I'm thinking it's a bad cable or plug. Has anyone else had this?

Hey! I have an NX too, can't remember the year exactly. That hissing sounds familiar. Check the charge air temperature sensor, especially the wiring. I had a similar problem and that sensor was the culprit. Is the sound louder when the engine is cold?

Yeah, mine was doing the same thing, hissing like a snake when cold. I thought it was a boost leak at first, but the error code pointed to the sensor. I tried cleaning the contacts but it didn't fix anything. I ended up taking it to a workshop to get it sorted. They replaced the sensor and the connector, and it fixed the problem completely. Seems like the best solution.

Thanks for the help! Based on what you said, I'm going to have a technician inspect the charge air temperature sensor and connections. The repair cost 95€ and solved the issue.
