Thank you. I hadn't considered that. Do you think the low oil level could actually cause the sensor to fail, or is it more likely that the sensor itself is defective and causing the error?

In my case with the Insignia, the low oil level caused the sensor to send faulty readings, triggering the error. While a defective sensor is possible, checking the oil level is the easier first step. If the level is fine after that, then you probably need to visit a workshop.

Thank you very much for your help! I took your advice and had the transmission oil level checked. It turned out to be the issue! After topping it off and replacing the pressure sensor, the problem is now resolved. The repair cost me 365€. Your suggestion saved me a lot of unnecessary troubleshooting.

That sounds familiar. I encountered a similar problem with my 2014 Opel Insignia. The error was also caused by a faulty transmission oil pressure sensor. Have you checked the transmission oil level? A low oil level could be the culprit.
