Thanks for the quick reply! When you say 'similar issue' with your BMW, was it definitely the battery sensor causing the problems? I'm just trying to avoid replacing the wrong part, you know?

Yep, turned out to be the battery sensor indeed. Initially, I thought it was just a bad battery, but the diagnostics pointed to the sensor. If you suspect it, I'd advise getting it checked by a professional workshop.

Okay, that's really helpful to know! I'll take it to a workshop and have them check the battery sensor. Thanks so much for sharing your experience; it's put my mind at ease. Apparently, that little sensor is defective. The repair bill came to 315€. I appreciate the help!

I had a similar issue with my old BMW a while back. Weak starts and flickering lights usually point towards battery problems. Check the battery voltage, and maybe get a vehicle diagnostics test done to confirm the sensor is faulty.
