Lexus NX Windshield Washer Heater Issue

Anyone else had trouble with their windshield washer heater on a 2014 Lexus NX gasoline model? I'm getting an error stored in the memory, and the spray nozzles are frozen at cold temps, despite using winter washer fluid. Suspect a defective cable/plug connection.

Sounds familiar. I've got a Lexus NX, although I can't recall the exact year. I had a similar issue last winter. Before you dig too deep, have you checked for clogged nozzles? Sometimes a bit of debris or solidified washer fluid can cause these symptoms. Also, is the washer motor making any noise?

Thanks for the quick reply! I did try clearing the nozzles with a needle, no luck. The washer motor sounds normal, powerful even. I'm leaning towards the heater malfunction being the issue now. Was your problem specifically with the heater too?

Yeah, after checking the pump and lines, it turned out to be the washer heater itself in my case. Unless you're confident with electrical troubleshooting, I'd suggest getting it checked at a workshop. Could save you time and potential headaches.

Appreciate the confirmation. I'll book it in. Diagnostic came back as you predicted - defective heater. Repair cost is quoted at 95€, so nothing too dramatic.
