Lexus RC Solar Sensor Error

I had a similar issue in my RC. I also had low heating, and there was a diagnostic code related to the sensor. It was particularly noticeable on sunny days when the climate control seemed to be fighting the sunload.

I didn't want to mess around with possible shorts, so I just brought it in. They said the readings were erratic, so it could be wiring, but hard to say. In the end, they suggested the cheapest and fastest solution was to change the sensor.
