Lexus RC Starting Issues

Hey, I've got a 2019 Lexus RC with a gasoline engine and about 74000 km on the clock. Recently, I've been running into some starting issues. Sometimes the engine just won't start, other times it shuts off unexpectedly while driving, and occasionally it runs pretty rough. Could a defective fuse be the culprit?

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my old Opel Astra. Though in my case the engine just died out on the road. Have you checked the ignition coil? That was the cause in my case.

Interesting, I hadn't considered the ignition coil. Was it a complete failure, or did it degrade over time? And was it difficult to diagnose?

It was a gradual thing, got worse over a few weeks. Hard to say what exactly was wrong, but it caused car ignition issues. I'm not a mechanic, so I just ended up taking it to a workshop. They sorted it out pretty quick.

Thanks for the input. I checked the fuses, and it turned out one was indeed defective. Replaced it and the car runs fine now. Cost me about 52€.
