Lexus RX check engine light
Summary of the thread
The check engine light on a 2021 Lexus RX hybrid keeps activating, and the vehicle sometimes struggles, suggesting a potential air supply issue. Possible causes include problems with vacuum hoses or the throttle body. A similar issue was resolved by identifying a defective hose connection from the pump to the valve, which was confirmed and repaired at a workshop.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Manifold pressure, huh? I haven't checked that specifically. Where exactly did you find this 'hose connection' you're talking about on your Volvo? And yeah, the idle is a little rough sometimes.

It was near the air valve – a real pain to get to, honestly. I remember being super frustrated. Given that your idle is also messed up and you also mentioned a struggling engine, it REALLY sounds like you have the same hose problem. I would strongly suggest to let a workshop have a look, just to make sure it is nothing serious and you can drive safe.

Thanks a lot! I took it to the workshop and told them about the hose connection from the pump to the valve. You were right, it was defective. Cost me 175€ to repair. I appreciate the insight!

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my older Volvo XC60, but it was a real headache to diagnose! Did you check the manifold pressure? In my case, it ended up being a defective hose connection from the pump to the valve. Is the engine idling strangely?
