Lexus RX Climate Control Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Lexus RX hybrid experienced a complete failure of the climate control system, with a dead display, ineffective heating, and non-functional AC. The issue was traced to a wiring problem, as indicated by an error code. A suggestion to check the power supply and connections to the climate control unit led to the discovery of a loose connection in the wiring harness, which, once fixed, resolved the problem.

Interesting! Where exactly is the climate control unit located? And were your symptoms exactly the same? The error code is the main thing bugging me.

Yes, that sounds very familiar. I'd recommend getting a workshop to check the cable and plug connections. I am pretty sure that this will solve your problem.

Thanks a lot for the tip! I took it to my local mechanic, and you were spot on – a loose connection in the wiring harness. They fixed it for 95€. Now the climate control works perfectly!

Hey, I had something similar happen in my RX. Check the power supply to the climate control unit itself. It might be a loose connector or a broken wire in the harness.
