Thanks. Where are these exhaust connections, and what should I look for? Also, was the repair expensive?

I'm not sure about the exact locations, I'm not a mechanic. A mechanic told me to check for anything obvious like rust or damage. I took mine to a workshop. It's probably best to get it checked by a professional.

I took it to a workshop. They found a small crack in the exhaust manifold, which caused the wrong temperature readings. Replacing the manifold and the sensor fixed it. It cost 265€. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Hey, I have a Lexus RX too. I had similar symptoms – check engine light, sluggish performance. Check all the exhaust connections for leaks before replacing the sensor. A small crack can throw off the readings.
