Lexus RX key fob battery issue
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Lexus RX is experiencing a 'key battery low' warning, leading to issues with keyless access and system errors. The likely cause is a depleted key fob battery. The suggested solution is to replace the battery, which can be done at a workshop for a small fee, potentially resolving the issue without further complications.

Yeah, I figured it's probably the battery, but I'm wondering if there's more to it than just swapping it out. Did you have any weird electrical gremlins after yours went?

Okay, so, with mine, it was JUST the battery. But honestly, the Lexus key fob is like a toddler throwing a tantrum when the voltage dips. You could try replacing it yourself, but I just went to the workshop. Cost me about 37€ and saved me the headache.

Thanks! Good to know it's probably just the battery. I was dreading some crazy electrical issue. Guess I'll head to the shop and get it sorted. Appreciate the help!

Dude, I feel your pain! I've got an RX too, and I swear, these key fobs are designed to die at the most inconvenient time. Sounds like your key battery is totally flat. Have you tried anything yet?
