The fault codes indicated a lean fuel mixture, specifically the fuel injectors. Before replacing them, are there other contributing factors to consider? Was the issue with your Volvo definitively the fuel injectors?

Yeah, after chasing a few other possibilities, it turned out to be a faulty injector in the end. Honestly, with those codes and symptoms, you're probably on the right track. I'd suggest getting it properly diagnosed at a reputable workshop to be 100% sure, though.

I appreciate your insight; I consulted a trusted mechanic. The defective injector was indeed the culprit, and the repair cost 515€.

Hey! Sounds frustrating. I had a similar issue with my old Volvo, though it was a gasoline engine. Check engine light, rough running, all that jazz. Did you look at the throttle body or maybe even the catalytic converter? What were the fault codes?
