Could you tell me more about what happened with your Saab 9-3? Did it happen slowly, and did you hear any noises when you pressed the pedal?

Yeah, it was gradual. The pedal just felt...soft. No noises, just less responsive. Turns out, my front brakes were worn down pretty bad and needed replacing. Better get it checked out by a professional.

Thanks for the advice. I checked it out, and it was worn brakes, like you said. The repair cost 480€, including parts. I appreciate the help figuring this out.

Hey, I had a similar problem on my old Saab 9-3. Low brake fluid and a weird feeling pedal. I'd start with a thorough brake inspection. Check for leaks in your brake lines and around the master cylinder.
