Lexus SC Electrical Malfunctions Error Memory
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Lexus SC is experiencing electrical malfunctions, including a dead navigation system and errors stored in the error memory, suspected to be due to a programming issue with the control unit. A similar issue was resolved temporarily by disconnecting the battery for about half an hour, but a permanent fix required professional intervention at a workshop. The suggested solution is to have the control module checked and possibly reprogrammed by a professional to resolve the electrical issues.

Thanks for the tip. How long did you disconnect the battery for? And did all the symptoms match, especially the error memory?

I left it off for about half an hour. And yes, the error memory thing sounds familiar, plus the electrical gremlins. Honestly, though, it didn't fix it permanently. Ended up having to take it to a workshop to get the control module properly sorted. Save yourself the headache and maybe just book it in.

Appreciate the confirmation. Looks like a workshop visit is on the cards. Cheers for the insight.

Hey, I had something similar with my SC a while back. Radio was acting up, and the climate control went haywire. Did you try disconnecting the battery for a bit to see if it resets anything?
