Interesting! I hadn't thought of that specifically. I was focusing on fuses and relays. Where exactly on the seat did you find the connection? Is it buried deep or relatively accessible? I'm trying to avoid a full-on car upholstery excavation here, haha.

In my Volvo, the connector was indeed buried pretty deep, accessible only after wrestling with the seat for what felt like an eternity. Given the error code, and my previous experience, my advice would be to still visit a workshop to get it checked. It might save you from doing more harm than good!

Okay, I hear you loud and clear. Thanks for sharing your experience with the Volvo! I'll bite the bullet and take it to a workshop. They quoted around 95€ to diagnose and fix the cable or plug, which seems reasonable. Better than butchering the seat myself. Will keep you posted on what they find!

Wow, that sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with the power seats in my old Volvo C70. The symptoms were different, but the cause was the same. Have you checked the cable and plug connections to the massage seat component itself? The fact that you have an error code suggests a broken or loose wire, much like a bad ethernet connection on a computer.
