Lexus SC TPMS Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2004 Lexus SC is experiencing a persistent 'Tire Pressure Too Low' warning, despite the tire pressures being checked. This issue could be due to sensor batteries or a larger TPMS problem. A similar case was resolved by replacing the sensor batteries, suggesting that this might be the likely cause. It is recommended to have a professional diagnostic to confirm and potentially replace the sensors.

I haven't noticed a direct link to temperature. But since you mention temperature, was yours just a sensor issue, or was it something more complex like the TPMS control module?

Mine turned out to be the sensor batteries, like you thought. I put off going to the shop, but I was losing it, so I took it in. They said all four sensors had low voltage. If you're not sure, a professional might be best to diagnose it. I could be wrong, but you're probably on the right track.

Thanks for confirming your experience. Replacing the sensors seems like the right first step. I'll book a diagnostic appointment at a workshop and replace the sensors. The estimated cost is about 280€.

I had similar symptoms on my SC: low tire warning, error message, the works. I was worried about a major problem at first. Does it seem to happen more when it's cold? The air pressure drops when it's cold outside.
