Lexus UX Damping Adjustment Fault

Thanks for the info! It feels bumpy all the time, regardless of the road surface. I'm not super familiar with AVS – is it possible it's just a loose connection somewhere, or is it more likely a sensor or the shock absorber itself needing replacement?

Given that it's consistently bumpy, a loose connection is plausible, especially considering the error code. The most likely cause is a cable or plug connection of the component being defective. However, without proper diagnostics, it's hard to say definitively if it's just a connection issue or a failing component. I would recommend a workshop visit.

You were spot on! Took it to the shop, and it turned out to be a corroded connector on one of the shock absorbers. They cleaned it up and re-seated it, and the error's gone, the ride's smooth again, and the warning light is off. Total cost was only 95€! Thanks a bunch for pointing me in the right direction!

Sounds like a potential issue with the Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS). The 'damping adjustment fault' suggests the system isn't properly controlling the shock absorbers. AVS uses sensors to detect road conditions and adjusts damping force accordingly. Could be a faulty sensor, actuator, or wiring. Have you noticed if it's consistently bumpy, or only under certain conditions?
