Lexus UX Defrost Air Distribution Flap Error

My 2023 Lexus UX electric has a weird issue. The defrost isn't working properly, and I'm only getting weak heat. My OBD reader shows an error about the defrost air distribution flap. Could it be a bad heater core, a failing blower motor, or an air circulation problem? I'm lost and freezing!

Interesting. I had a similar issue with my old 2018 Volvo XC60. The heating output was way too low, and it turned out to be a defective cable or plug connection of the air distribution flap. I would start by checking the wiring and connections related to the flap motor before tearing into the heater core or blower motor. Any issues with air circulation?

Thanks! A defective cable or plug connection, huh? I hadn't considered that. Where exactly should I be looking for this connection? Is it something I can easily access, or am I better off just taking it to a shop? I'm hesitant to start poking around too much without a better idea of what I'm doing.

On the Volvo, the connector was near the climate control unit behind the dashboard, but I'm not sure about the Lexus UX. It might be in a similar location. Considering it's a newer vehicle and you're not entirely comfortable with electrical troubleshooting, it might be best to take it to a workshop. The repair set me back 95€. They will be able to properly diagnose the issue and avoid any potential damage.

Okay, that sounds like solid advice. I really appreciate the insight about the potential wiring issue! I'll take it to a shop and tell them to check the cable and plug connection of the component first. Hopefully, it's something simple and not a complete climate control overhaul! Thanks again for the help!
