Lexus UX Gearbox Slipping and Grinding

I'm having trouble with my 2019 Lexus UX with the gasoline engine, which has about 63k km on it. The paddle shifters aren't working at all. The gearbox is slipping and shifting really rough, and sometimes I hear this awful grinding noise. The paddles are super slow to respond when they do work a little, and the car went into some kind of emergency mode the other day. I scanned it, and there's an error code stored. I'm thinking it might be the transmission control unit. Any ideas?

Yes, the symptoms were identical. The error codes confirmed the diagnosis. Replacement of the transmission control unit at a qualified workshop is the recommended course of action. Do not attempt to repair this yourself.
