LFA Air Conditioning Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Lexus LFA is experiencing an air conditioning failure where the system doesn't cool or switch on, accompanied by an error code and warning light. The garage suspects the AC control unit is faulty. Another owner shared a similar experience, suggesting that control unit failures can occur in older vehicles with high mileage. Replacing the AC control unit is recommended to resolve the issue.

I don't have refrigerant pressure readings, just the error code related to the control unit. Is this control unit failure a known issue for the LFA?

Known issue' might be too strong, but AC control system failures aren't unheard of in vehicles of this age, especially with that mileage. Following the workshop's advice to replace the control unit is prudent to properly diagnose and address the error. My repair was around 980€.

Good to know I'm not alone! I've authorized the AC control unit replacement. Fingers crossed that resolves it. Thanks for the help.

I haven't had those exact symptoms on my LFA, but I did have an AC problem where the system stopped working, and diagnostics pointed to a control unit fault. It wouldn't engage either. Do you have refrigerant pressure data?
