LFA Anti-Theft System Error

I own a 2012 Lexus LFA with a gasoline engine. I've encountered an issue with the anti-theft system. The error memory stores an error, and the alarm system is non-functional. I've tried resetting the system, but the problem persists. Any insights?

It is plausible the alarm system is coded to activate optical locking, which may cause such malfunctions. Does the vehicle exhibit issues beyond alarm failure, such as problems with the immobilizer?

Thank you for the suggestion. Can you elaborate? I am not familiar with the alarm system coding. How does optical locking affect the system, and can it cause a total failure of the anti-theft measures?

Excessive optical signaling can sometimes interfere with the system's primary function. In your specific case and with the error memory storing errors, I would suggest consulting a qualified workshop with appropriate diagnostic tools. This could prevent further issues.

Appreciate the advice. I took it to a workshop, and it turns out the alarm was indeed coded for optical locking. Recoding cost 45€, and the system is now working properly.
