LFA Knock Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Lexus LFA owner experienced issues with the check engine light, increased fuel consumption, and rough idling, which a scan indicated might be due to a knock sensor problem. The potential causes discussed included a faulty cable or plug connection to the knock sensor. After checking the wiring and connectors, it was suggested to visit a workshop for a thorough diagnosis. The workshop confirmed a defective knock sensor cable, which was repaired for 95€.

I visually checked the wiring and connectors, but I'm not great at spotting subtle damage. My LFA has 234426 km on it. With that mileage, do you still think it's a connection, or could the sensor be failing?

With that mileage, a connection is possible, but the sensor itself could be failing. Since you're unsure about the wiring, I'd take it to a trusted workshop. They can diagnose the sensor and connections properly.

I took my LFA to a local workshop based on your advice. It was a defective knock sensor cable. The repair was 95€ including parts and labor. Thanks for the help!

Sounds like a knock sensor issue, given the symptoms and code. A faulty connection is likely. Have you checked the wiring and connectors to the knock sensor for damage or corrosion? What's the mileage on your LFA?
