LFA Lighting Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Lexus LFA owner is experiencing issues with the vehicle's lights turning on by themselves and an error code related to the lighting system. After checking basic solutions like bulb replacement, the problem persists. Another owner suggests inspecting the dimmer or headlight switch on the steering column, as a loose or faulty connection in the cable loom could be the cause. The issue is resolved by addressing a defective cable or plug connection, costing approximately 95€.

Interesting! You mean the actual switch on the steering column? What was wrong with it exactly? Was it just loose, or did you have to replace the whole thing?

Yeah, the stalk switch. I'm no electrical guru, but my mechanic showed me - the connection plug was a bit dodgy, seemed like a loose wire in the cable loom. It wasn't completely broken, but enough to cause chaos. Honestly, I'd just get it checked at a workshop; messing with electrics without knowing what you're doing is like playing with fire!

Thanks for the tip! I had the connections checked, and you were spot on! Turns out the cable or plug connection was defective - cost me about 95€ to get sorted. I appreciate the help!

Whoa, that's freaky! I had something similar happen in my LFA. It felt like the car was possessed! Have you checked the dimmer switch or the headlight switch itself? That's where my gremlins were hiding.
