LFA Low Brake Fluid
Summary of the thread
A 2012 LFA is experiencing a low brake fluid level and unusual brake pedal feedback, with no visible leaks and seemingly intact brake pads. Possible causes include a weeping master cylinder or issues with the ABS unit. The problem was ultimately traced to worn brakes, which were replaced to resolve the issue.

Master cylinder, huh? I hadn't considered that. Weeping...good point. I'll give it a closer inspection. The ABS unit is a good shout too, since I am not getting any error codes. Did your BMW show any other symptoms, or was it just the fluid level and pedal feel?

Just the fluid level and pedal feel, exactly like you. I kept topping it up, but it was a losing battle. Eventually, I took it to my mechanic. Turns out there was a very small leak somewhere in the system. Not visible at first glance. He suggested worn brakes could be the issue. Do you have any other idea besides this one?

Thanks for the insight. I took your advice and booked it in for a check-up. You were spot on. Worn brakes, as suspected! Ended up costing me 480€ for the parts and labor, but at least it's sorted. Appreciate the help!

Interesting. I had a similar issue with my old BMW 5 series. Brake fluid light kept popping up, and the pedal felt a bit soft. Did you check the master cylinder? Any chance it's weeping slightly? Or maybe the ABS unit? I'm no expert but these were the things I checked on my car.
