Thanks for the quick reply! The cooling fan seems to be working normally – it kicks in when the engine gets hot. As for the water pump, is there an easy way to check if it's working correctly? I'm not really sure how to diagnose that.

A faulty water pump is possible, but less likely given the symptoms. The map thermostat is often the culprit causing these issues. It might be defective. With those kilometers on the clock, it could be time to get it changed. Why don't you take it to a shop?

Thanks a bunch for the advice! You were spot on – took it to the shop, and they confirmed it was the thermostat. Repair cost was around 350€, but now it's running perfectly again. I really appreciate the help!

Overheating and slow warm-up usually point to a thermostat issue. Is your cooling fan running constantly? Or maybe the water pump is failing?
