LFA Overheating Slow Warm Up

I've got a 2011 Lexus LFA with a gasoline engine and about 195,000 km on the clock. Lately, it's been overheating, and it takes ages for the engine to warm up. I'm thinking it could be a coolant leak, but I'm not seeing any obvious signs. Could it be something else? I've checked the temperature sensor, and that seems fine. I'm just not sure where to look next. Anyone experienced something similar?

Overheating and slow warm-up usually point to a thermostat issue. Is your cooling fan running constantly? Or maybe the water pump is failing?

Thanks for the quick reply! The cooling fan seems to be working normally – it kicks in when the engine gets hot. As for the water pump, is there an easy way to check if it's working correctly? I'm not really sure how to diagnose that.

A faulty water pump is possible, but less likely given the symptoms. The map thermostat is often the culprit causing these issues. It might be defective. With those kilometers on the clock, it could be time to get it changed. Why don't you take it to a shop?
