Thanks for the quick response! When you say 'steering column switch,' are you referring to the entire assembly that includes the turn signals and wipers? I'm not sure what a 'wiring harness' is... Also, do you remember if your turn signals were also affected when your wipers went out?

Yes, the steering column switch is the whole unit that controls the turn signals, wipers, and sometimes other functions. As for the wiring harness, think of it as a bundle of wires all wrapped together in a protective sleeve – it's basically how the electrical signals get from one part of the car to another. In my case, the turn signals were working fine, only the wipers were affected, but I understand that in some cases problems with the steering column switch can cause both turn signals and wipers to malfunction. If you're not comfortable tracing wires and testing connections, your best bet is probably a visit to a qualified workshop. You risk doing more harm than good by poking around if you aren't sure what you are doing.

Alright, thanks a lot for the help! I took it to the shop, and you were spot on – it was a defective cable/plug connection. They fixed it for 95€ and the wipers are working perfectly again!

Interesting problem! I had something vaguely similar happen in my LFA. Windshield wipers are vital, especially in bad weather! I remember that the turn signal and wiper functions are on the same steering column switch. I think it's worth investigating the wiring and connections around that area. A loose connector could definitely cause intermittent or complete failure of the wipers. The error code stored in the memory suggests a problem with the electrical circuit. Start with the basics: check the plug connection of the component, and wiring harness that goes to the wiper motor and the combination switch on the steering column. If those look ok, it's time for the dealer.
